I‘ve had a couple of Hollywood producer/director’s tell me that my Falls Ende novels would make an ideal episodic screen series. Who would have thought, but it is early days yet, and whether it happens or not, we shall have to wait and see.
Falls Ende developed as an idea on one typically hot Southern California evening when socialising with friends. As a result of our creative discussion, I put my big mouth into action and set about writing those ideas down into a simple short story. The challenge for me was writing an entertaining medieval tale and not focusing on knights doing endless battle on windswept boggy fields. I’d promised to deliver a character-based story that would not only entertain but keep the reader thoroughly engrossed and riveted.
As it turned out, a simple, straightforward short story morphed into a second and then a third. For me, Falls Ende took on a life of its own and grew. Now, in January, my fourth full-length Falls Ende novel, ‘Falls Ende – Quartus’, will be published, and I’m being hounded to write a fifth.
For many of you, you’ve seen my endless social media posts highlighting another Falls Ende novel, and I’m sure you’ve been wondering what the fuss is?
Falls Ende is a waterfall that lies on the outskirts of a small village in southern England called Mellester Manor. Life within the village is not easy, times are tough, and the Church and lords demand their tithes and rent. Life isn’t fair, especially when you’re a peasant and have little say or rights. This is where the story begins…
On February 18th, the fourth book, Falls Ende – Quartus, will be published, and it can be read as a stand-alone, although I recommend you read each novel in sequence. Once you begin, you’ll be hooked.
Falls Ende – Quartus, now available to pre-order.
